After my son, Jack, died, I heard a lesson on grief that taught that I should not think, "If only Jack hadn't gone to Iraq." God gave Jack a certain number of days and hours of life, and Jack helped so many Soldiers, friends and people, always giving of his talents and love to them. He lived exactly the number of days he had been given, and he knew that no matter where on Earth he resided, he would have no more than what God had given him. Ten years after his death in 2011, he still gets greetings and letters on his Facebook page, so I have never closed it. His friends need to send messages to him.
Your beloved Rush gave of himself every day to his devoted audiences, and he knew we all loved him and cherished our times listening to him. God shared him with us for only the correct number of days and hours. Now, Rush is "repurposed" in his Heavenly home. We praise God for loaning him to us, and for giving him Kathryn to love.
