I met Doug when he played at our families country night club. He was a super nice guy. We had a lot of artists play and my mom said he was her favorite because of his personality.

How deeply saddened as I just found out about this in our local newspaper. My ex partner and I, we are both gay and won a dance contest at a local country and western gay dance club and this was the song we won it to. Doug was such a talented singer. Rest in peace buddy. You will be sorely missed.
